Sensors available for free vs checkout
The ITLL offers:
The ITLL Electronics Center has over 300 sensors available for student checkout. In addition, some sensors are available for free (and do not need to be returned) in the Treston spinning console.
Typical check out period: 2 weeks
How to check them out: Stop by the Electronic Center DAQ Engineer office (ECCE 167A)
You will need: A brief description of your project to help us guide you to you best sensor, and that’s it!
Types of sensors available
The most commonly used sensors are HC-SR04 (ultrasonic distance sensors), load cells (to measure a compression or tension force), thermocouples (to measure temperature), and photocells (to detect light).
To help you select the best sensor for your project, the ITLL has abundant documentation to help you in your selection.
