Operation Procedure
1. Preparation:
· Ensure the blade is appropriate for the material being cut and securely installed.
· Adjust the blade height so that it extends no more than 1/2 inch above the material.
· Set the rip fencefence, cross cutting sled, or miter gauge to guide the workpiece accurately.
· Wear safety glasses and hearing protection.
2. Starting the Saw:
· Stand to the side of the blade, not directly in line with it.
· Turn on the saw and allow the blade to reach full speed before beginning the cut.
3. Making Cuts:
· Use the rip fence for rip cuts (cutting along the length of the board).
· Use the miter gauge or cross cutting sled for crosscuts (cutting across the width of the board).
· Keep hands at least 6 inches away from the blade at all times.
· Use push sticks or push blocks when cutting narrow or small pieces, less than the width of your hand.
· Feed the material steadily and smoothly through the blade without forcing it.
· Ensure the workpiece is pushed fully beyond the blade before releasing it.
4. After the Cut:
· Wait for the blade to come to a complete stop before removing offcuts or adjusting the setup.
· Turn off the saw and clean the work area.
5. Safety Tips:
· Never reach over or behind the blade while it is running.
· Do not use the rip fence and miter gauge together for the same cut.
· Avoid cutting warped, twisted, or unstable material.
· Always be aware of kickback risks and use proper techniques to minimize them.
